  • ARHR to Lead Community Engagement in Ghana Under Regional SUPREME Maternal Health Project

ARHR is taking on a key role in advancing community and civil society engagement in Ghana under the SUPREME (Sustained Uptake of Products for Pre-Eclampsia and Maternal Anaemia) project, funded by Unitaid.

ARHR will lead community and civil society engagement in Ghana, working alongside WACI Health and consortium partners, including Jhpiego, CHAI, Amref, Burnet Institute and Market Access, to strengthen community participation and advocacy around maternal health.

A significant milestone in the project was marked in Nairobi, where Ghana’s Community Advisory Board (CAB) members joined representatives from Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania and Senegal to launch the Regional Community Advisory Board. The platform provides an avenue for community perspectives to inform project implementation, strengthen accountability and amplify advocacy for improved maternal health services across the five participating countries.

Through the SUPREME project, partners are working to empower women and communities with the knowledge and support needed to prevent, detect and manage pre-eclampsia and maternal anaemia, two important conditions requiring timely attention to improve maternal health outcomes.

ARHR is grateful to WACI Health for the confidence placed in the organisation and looks forward to working with all consortium partners to ensure that community voices remain central to efforts to improve maternal healthcare.

Together, we can make maternal health safer for every woman.
